OVER 1300 votes so far have indicated that a poll majority would like to see 'a mix of new and old' or in other words the Kyle Lockwood designed Silver Fern Flag.

The poll includes the present NZ ensign.

The poll commenced before John Key's move away from a silver fern on black and toward the Kyle Lockwood Design. 

Right-wing blogger Cameron Slater is a well known cynic of flag change, he slammed the silver fern on black, comparing the black and white colour scheme to that of the flags of piracy, ISIS and Al Qaeda.
